Art Hunts lead us to top-tier galleries, world-wide. One of our favorites collaborations is Hollis Taggart of New York, where we discovered this photographic gem.
“Warhol's market in general is booming, as it has been, over the past many years. The current retrospective at the Whitney Museum has validated and increased public recognition of Warhol as the most important iconic artist of the 20th Century; record attendance at the show and a renewed appreciation of the breath of his creativity. The Whitney show is boosting the market a lot.
His photos are also gaining massive attention at the current time. After Warhol's death all of his photography was kept by the Warhol Foundation and these works were not released for sale. Only in recent years (1990's) did the Foundation decide to release them for sale. The market is very strong now, and growing. Several exhibitions of these Polaroid images are taking place at the biggest galleries such as Gagosian, Kasmin, and others in Europe. This is definitely the time to grab one of these before it is too late. Dolly is one of the most sought after images, along with Jackie O and others.” - Hollis Taggart ; New York, New York
