Bo Joseph

BIO

 

Bo Joseph (b. 1969), a native of Northern California and current resident of New York, has been exhibited across the U.S.: in New York, NY, at the Deutsche Bank Gallery, Sears-Peyton Gallery, Jason McCoy Inc., Barbara Mathes Gallery, Allan Stone Gallery and Woodward Gallery; in Portland, OR, at Froelick Gallery; in Saratoga Springs, NY, at the Tang Museum; in Dennis, MA, at the Cape Museum of Fine Art; in Burlington, VT, at the University of Vermont; in Dallas at Barry Whistler Gallery. Joseph has received awards and honors such as the Basil H. Alkazzi Award, and fellowships in painting from the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts and the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center. He has also been visiting artist/lecturer at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and the Rhode Island School of Design where he has also taught drawing. His work is held in international public collections including the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO; The Springfield Museum of Art, Springfield, OH; and the Guilin Art Museum, Guilin, China. He received a B.F.A. in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design.
